- Communicate with design consultants and BMS vendors to ensure DCIM reliability objectives are met for new data center deployments and data center retrofit projects. Coordinate application deployments and IT infrastructure between the vendors and internal DCIM departments.
- The configuration of DCIM applications in support of new data center deployments, new data requirements and data center retrofits. Ensure all deployments / retrofits adhere to DCIM standards.
- Evaluate technical requirements of commissioning projects and estimate the delivery plan accordingly.
- Provide technical support during commissioning and post-commissioning follow-up, and be the main point of contact with customer.
- Stay up to date on the latest hardware and software advancements in DCIM system.
- Prepare and maintain DCIM systems support documentation, test plans, and change management records.
- Ensure DCIM systems are operating as designed to protect the data center, capture power usage, calculate available capacity, and provide meaningful, timely alarms, notifications and reports to end users.
- Implement corporate policies procedures and standards to maximize the performance of systems, applications and networks.
- Work closely with co-workers, maintenance personnel, project managers, building managers, engineers, and contractors on site-specific projects.
- Coordinate with all related parties (including clients, sales team, consultants, partners and contractors) to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Manage projects can be completed timely, efficiently, safely and professionally.
- Attend project site meetings and conduct site surveys.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology (IT) related disciplines.
- 5 - 7 years’ experience in the field of Engineering in Datacenters with a good understanding of operations within a Datacenter, both on Power & Cooling, as well as IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of data center device communication protocols and experience with BAC-net, Modbus, TCP/IP configuration, SNMP communication protocols, Active Directory security and others.
- Previous experience with real-time data monitoring systems is an asset.
- Understanding of CFD and energy efficiency in general is an asset.
- Understanding of basic power calculations on single and 3-phase circuits, electrical diagrams, control diagrams.
- Good communication & coordination skills and strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent coordination skills between multiple stakeholders, third-party contractors, consultants and clients
- Strong problem solving and ability to work under pressure independently to meet multiple tasks and tight deadline.
- Good command of both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Candidates with more than 7 years’ experience will be considered as Project Manager.
