Facilities Assistant in the Safety Office(Ref.: 523535) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should have completed Form 5 or above. Work experience in laboratories, workshops or general workplaces would be an advantage but not compulsory as on-the-job training will be provided. They should also have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; good communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to work independently in a variety of settings. Possession of a Light Goods Vehicle driving licence would be an advantage.
The appointee will assist the Officer in carrying out inspection, testing and problem solving of laboratory safety equipment, implementing an environmental monitoring programme on University premises; and perform other duties as required.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
