Role and Responsibilities

  • Work with our Hong Kong clients for provision and ongoing maintenance/support of our services as well as supporting customers throughout the APAC Region as required
  • Configuring, Troubleshooting and Architecture of voice solutions based on Sycamore TDM and Cisco SIP/TDM equipment in both our data centre (DC) and customer sites as well as regular use of Envision and Solarwinds
  • Provide detailed designs for each customer implementation, hands on experience is a key factor to success in this role
  • Work closely with sales and operations to deliver class leading reliability at the optimum cost
  • Day to day network monitoring for both customer and DC, network grooming and optimisation
  • Manage internet, voice and data providers from new site delivery through to troubleshooting and timely resolution of any issues
  • Develop and configure new customer/site installations
  • Adapt to new methodologies arising from customer demands and changing technology
  • Willingness to work out of hours and weekends as required
  • Flexible and able to work effectively as part of a small team
  • Candidate must be fluent in Cantonese

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Certificated training in network management (e.g. CCNA, CCNP on Voice and networking )
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Electrical Engineering is highly desired but candidates may also be eligible based on relevant industry experience.

Skills and Experience

  • Whilst technical experience is important, we are equally impressed by energy, determination, and a willingness to learn and develop any gaps in knowledge
  • Preferred working experience in or with financial institutions
  • Track record in System integrator company is preferred
  • Experience in configuring Cisco devices for T1 CAS/E&M connections
  • Knowledge of voice and data network transport such as; T1/E1, IP using private line networks. Working knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 addressing and Router components and functionality. Understanding of FXO/FXS signaling
  • Configure and troubleshoot voice dial-peers on Cisco gateways (38xx, 28xx, 29xx,76xx)
  • Practical experience of, configuring, upgrading, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators and client side equipment
  • Experience supporting clients on a live network
  • In depth knowledge transport protocols, routing protocols, and security/authentication protocols at all layers of the OSI model with emphasis on TCP/IP are essential
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills needed to team well with peers, customers, and vendors. Excellent written and spoken English
  • Experience with working closely with telco carriers and third party suppliers
  • Strong understanding of VoIP products is required (i.e. various types of IP based voice products – Cisco gateways as well as legacy voice PBX vendors/products.)
  • Design, order and turn-up/test voice circuits. Troubleshoot issues on circuits and lines by bringing in carrier support where needed

Role is predominately working from home but will require visits to both customer sites and data centre. Many of our clients are requiring attendees to be vaccinated.
